Full Recipe:            SWEET POTATO HALWA

Cook Time: 15 mins

Servings: 2

Cuisine: Indian

Nutritional value: Winter's in India, brings sweet cravings along. And all crave for Gajar ka Halwa, Suji ka Halwa etc. But all these Halwa sweets are full of calories and sweeteners but here is the sweet recipe without sugar. Sweet Potatoes are rich in fibre as well as necessary minerals including Iron, Calcium, Selenium and Vitamins like Vit-B.

Now let me tell you it's Nutritional content-

Calories- 268 kCal.             Carbs- 68.06 g

Protein-  6.70 g                    Fat-  10 g

Fibre- 6 g                              Vit B3- 1.1 mg

Vit C- 15 mg                          Calcium- 94 mg

Iron- 3 g


INGREDIENTS

Sweet Potato- 1/2 kg 

Jaggery- 1/4 cup

Cow's Ghee- 1/2 cup

Milk- 1 cup

Cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp

Dry fruits- for garnishing (chopped)


STEP BY STEP RECIPE

1. In a pressure pan, add washed and peeled sweet potato and jaggery add some water, close the lid and cook for 2-3 whistles.

2. Now let cool and take the sweet potato out from pressure pan, Sweet potato have absorbed the sweetness of jaggery.

3. Now mash the sweet potatoes.

4. In another pan, add Ghee, let ghee. Add mashed sweet potatoes.

5. Cook until color changes, then add milk and saute until milk absorbs.

6. Then add cardamom powder. Mix and cook until fragnantful.

7. At last add chopped dry fruits and serve hot.
