Full Recipe: ENERGY SLICES
Cook Time: 30 mins
Servings: 24 Slices
Cuisine: Indian
Nutritional value: In winter's, Energy Slices are must to have for everyone. In this recipe nutritional ingredients like Dryfruits, Seeds, hot Spices and Cow's ghee and that also Sugar free. Dates and Figs, high in fibre and antioxidants and Dryfruits nutritious, makes these Energy Slices a "Super food". All these together improves bone, brain and heart health, along provides energy and improves digestion.
Now let me tell you it's Nutritional content-
Calories- 80 kCal. Carbs- 6 g
Protein- 2 g Fat- 6 g
Fibre- 10 g Sodium- 230 mg
Calcium- 2 g Iron- 4 g
INGREDIENTS
Cow's Ghee- 2 tbsp
Seedless Dates & Figs- 1 cup (grounded coarsely)
Dryfruits (Almonds, Cashew, Pistachio, Walnuts, Raisins, Melon seeds, Sesame seeds, Lotus seeds, Dry coconut, Edible gum)- 3/4 cup
Cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon powder- 1/2 tsp
Dry Ginger powder- 1/2 tsp
Mace powder- 1/2 tsp
Nutmeg powder- 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek powder- 1/4 tsp
Saffron- 1/4 tsp (soak in milk)
Poppy seeds- as required
STEP BY STEP RECIPE
1. In a pan, heat ghee and add all Dryfruits. Saute properly until changes color.
2. Now add spices (cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, dry Ginger powder, mace powder, nutmeg powder, fenugreek powder). Mix everything properly until fragnantful.
3. Then add grounded Dates & Figs. Mix continuously until everything merges and binds together. Cook until thicken and starts leaving pan.
4. Now add saffron milk. Again mix properly till absorbs milk.
5. Turn off the flame and cool mixture. As cools bind this mixture into dough.
6. Make 3 equal parts of the dough. On a butter paper take one part and roll it tightly.
7. Refrigerate these rolls for an hour. After an hour take this refrigerated roll and cut into slices.
8. Finally sprinkle poppy seeds on slices. So Energy Slices are ready.
