Full Recipe: ONION TOMATO PARATHA
Cook Time: 15 mins
Servings: 4 Servings (15 Parathas)
Cuisine: Indian
Nutritional value: A healthy combination of wheat flour stuffed with onion, tomato & nutritional value of all three together i.e.,low in fat & zero cholestrol filled with antioxidants, dietary fiber, minerals, vit, maganese and also helps control wt. & bp.
Now let me tell you it's Nutritional content-
Calories- 100 kCal. Carbs- 13 g
Protein- 5.5 g Fat- 5 g
Fibre- 8 g Sodium- 300 mg
Potassium- 100 mg. Vit A- 5 mg
Calcium- 3 mg. Iron- 10 mg
INGREDIENTS
For Flour:
Wheat flour- 3 cups
Salt- 2 tsp
Ajwain- 1/2 tsp
Coriander- 4 tbsp
Oil- 2 tsp
Water- for kneading
For Masala:
Oil- 5 tsp
Cumin- 2 tsp
Kasuri Methi- 2 tsp
Onion- 2 (finely chopped)
Ginger-garlic chilli paste- 2 tsp
Tomato- 5 (finely chopped)
Red chilli powder- 2 tsp
Turmeric- 1/2 tsp
Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
Pavbhaji masala- 1/2 tsp
STEP BY STEP RECIPE
1. Heat oil in pan, add cumin & kasuri methi, let crackle.
2. Now add onion & ginger garlic chilli paste, saute well.
3. Add tomato & cook until soft & mashy.
4. Now add the spices, chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala & pavbahji masala. mix all & saute until aromatic.
5. Take mixture in a mixing bowl & let cool.
6. Now add wheat flour, salt, ajwaijn, coriander & oil. now mix everything properly.
7. Now knead a soft dough with required water.
8. Let the dough rest for 10- 15 mins.
9. Now make small balls from the dough & roll out a paratha.
10. Now put it on a hot tawa. Cook paratha on both the sides with some ghee until golden crisp.
11. Serve hot parathaa with Curd, Chutney or any curry.
