Full Recipe: VERMICELLI DOSA
Cook Time: 30 mins
Servings: 4 Servings (10 Dosa)
Cuisine: South-Indian
Nutritional value: Vermicelli(Semiya) made from whole wheat flour, which is fat free, cholestrol free & low in sodium when combined with veggies becomes a perfect light yet healthy meal for anytime of your day.
Now let me tell you it's Nutritional content-
Calories- 51 kCal. Carbs- 4 g
Protein- 5 g Fat- 3.2 g
Fibre- 10 g Sodium- 27 mg
Potassium- 16 mg Vit A- 37 mg
Calcium- 18.9 mg Iron- 2 mg
INGREDIENTS
Vermicelli- 1 cup (roasted)
Rava- 1/2 cup
Rice flour- 1/2 cup
Curd- 1/2 cup
Onion- 1 (finely chopped)
Tomato-2 (finely chopped)
Green chilli- 2 (finely chopped)
Coriander-1/4 cup (finely chopped)
Cumin- 1 tsp
Salt- 1/2 tsp
Water- 3 cups
STEP BY STEP RECIPE
1. Ina large mixing bowl, take roasted vermicelli.
2. Add rava, rice flour & combine the three well by mixing it with curd.
3. Let the mixture rest for 10 mins.[rest at this stage is necessary to let the all the ingredients soak curd & soften vermicelli].
4. Now beat the mixture until fluffy( for 5 mins)
5. Now add onion, tomato, green chilli, coriander, cumin, salt. Mix everything.
6. Now add water little by little & make a dosa batter with proper consistency.
7. Now again let it rest for 15 mins.
8. On a hot tawa, spread some oil & sprinkle water, wipe it with a tissue.
9. Now pour the batter & spread it even round like a dosa.
10. Put little oil on the sides of dosa & let cook.
11. Once dosa leaves the sides of tawa, roll the dosa & serve with coconut chutney and sambhar.
