Today's Blog is new recipe "PALAK KOFTA". An Indian curry with the koftas and that also with my healthy twist who wouldn't love it... So here's the Palak KOFTA recipe with detailed photo and written recipe..

Full Recipe:       PALAK KOFTA 

Cook Time: 15 mins

Servings: 4 Servings (15 Koftas)

Cuisine:  Indian

Nutritional value: Kofta made of Palak and paneer is full of taste and nutrition. Spinach is a great source of vitamins and paneer gives the calcium and protein. And along has added dry fruits with magnesium, potassium, calcium and more.

Now let me tell you it's Nutritional content-

Calories- 150 kCal             Carbs- 10 g

Protein- 15 g                      Fat- 11 g

Fibre- 3 g                            Sodium- 871 mg

Potassium- 240 mg          Calcium- 40 g

Iron-15 g

 

INGREDIENTS

Oil- 2 tsp

Ginger chilli paste- 2 tbsp

Garlic- 8 cloves

Onion- 1/4 cup (finely chopped)

Palak- 4 cups

Paneer- 1 1/2 cup (grated/ crumbled)

Potato- 1/2 cup (boiled & mashed)

Besan-1/4 cup 

Cornflour- 1/4 cup               

Raisins & Cashew- 1/4 cup (chopped)

Garam masala- 1/4 tsp

Pavbhaji masala- 1/4 tsp

Salt- 1/4 tsp

Bread crumbs- to roll koftas


STEP BY STEP RECIPE


1. In a pan, heat oil, add Ginger chilli paste, garlic, onion and saute well.

2. Add palak(spinach) and saute until shrinks slightly.

3. Switch off the flame and let cool.

4. Blend the mixture.

5. Take this mixture into a large mixing bowl.

6. Add all the other ingredients (paneer, potatoes, besan, cornflour, raisins, cashew, garam masala, pavbhaji masala, salt).

7. Mix all the ingredients and bind into a soft dough.

8. Make balls and roll in bread crumbs.

9. Bake the koftas in preheated oven for 15 mins at 180°C.

10. Finally serve hot koftas with chutney or sauce..

      Every microwave has different modes, temp time settings so this could be the reason. But not to worry you can again bake the koftas for 5-7 mins at the same temp when it cools down after once baked. Hope this helps you.
